About.
Outside of work, you can find me fostering dogs with Paws Across Pittsburgh , coaching volleyball for Club Gold South , and convincing my friends to join me for my annual half marathon 🏃🏻♀️ (This year is Pittsburgh Half ‘25!).
Constantly in pursuit of cozy, creative hobbies. These day’s I’m jumping between learning to sew, practicing calligraphy, and chasing down Piccolinis in the 1800s through genealogy research 🇮🇹.
Hi! I’m Amanda, a multidisciplinary User Experience Designer with a diverse background in product, instructional, and graphic design. My journey began in higher education, where I focused on implementing online instructional technology to create engaging learning experiences for students.
After relocating to Pittsburgh, PA, and spending another year in higher ed, I said yes to a graphic design opportunity with the Green Dot Agency within Deloitte. There, I supported multiple service lines and CxO offices, honing my skills in in-house design. While I loved the creativity my job required, I missed user-focused problem-solving.
So, while continuing to work full-time at Deloitte, I decided to pursue a Master’s in Human-Computer Interaction at Carnegie Mellon University to further my user experience design and research skillsets which I completed in 2022. Upon graduation, I transitioned officially into user experience design, a culmination of the skills I’d been refining since my first role in education. Currently, at Deloitte, my focus is on Smart Manufacturing solutions.
I leverage my cross-industry experience to bring creative solutions to the table. Beyond creating a “good product,” I aspire to craft experiences that genuinely improve the lives of users. I believe in continuous improvement, honest positivity, and being a good teammate. ❤️
